Dieback /Anthracnose /Fruit rot-
  1. Dieback Infection usually begins when the crop is in flower. In diseased plant, flowers dry up. This drying up spreads from the flower to the stem and subsequently causes die-back of the branches and stem. The entire branch or the entire top of the plant may wither away.
  2. Anthracnose usually noticed on ripe fruits turning red. Green fruits are generally not attacked. A small black, circular spot appears on the skin of the fruit and spreads becoming elliptical shaped. Badly diseased fruits turn straw coloured or pale white from normal red and ultimately the diseased fruits shrivel and dry up.
